PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TREAT AQUATIC WEEDS Lake Macquarie City Council advises it intends to carry out a range of herbicide spraying activities targeting aquatic weed infestations on various waterbodies, drains and water retention basins. The spray period starts five days after this notice until 30 September 2024, weather conditions permitting. Herbicides Eraze 360 bi-aquatic (active ingredient 360g/l glyphosate), Clipper SC Aquatic (active ingredient flumioxazin) and Metmac 600 (active ingredient 600g/ kg metsulfuron methyl) will be used in accordance with label direction and under AVPMA approved off label permits 9907 and 14734. Under the terms and conditions of the EPA Licence 6332, the following warning is provided to residents in the treatment areas: "not to use, drink or swim until further notice".
